Q: What Causes Eyelid Wrinkles?
A: The skin on our eyelids is extremely delicate. It’s so extremely thin and fragile, it’s amazing that it stays in as good as shape as it does! Besides the normal causes of aging on the eyes, I have another theory about what may also be possibly contributing to these pesky wrinkles.
Using Too Much Eye Makeup Harmful?
I believe that eye liner and other makeup we abrasively apply on the eyelids may not be the best thing for us to say the least! Think about it… we use sharp liner pencils and draw dark lines on them (which contain nasty artificial ingredients) and how can this possibly be good for the delicate skin in this area?
Now I don’t know for sure whether or not this is a cause but it definitely makes sense, right? I mean I think people like Kim Kardashian and others who load up with all that stuff may actually be hurting themselves long term. It will be interesting to see what she looks like 10, 20, and 30 years from now. My guess is that all of that makeup she is applying will do damage. Heck, it may already be doing it but we just don’t see it yet since she always has it on!
If You Have To Use It…
I guess the best piece of advice I can say is that if you have to use this eye makeup, try and get some that you can apply with your finger instead of a sharp pencil tip. Also, try and wear it in moderation. After all, how can you possibly wear eye cream for wrinkles if the skin is constantly being covered up by all that other stuff? Last but not least, my guess is that products like that Bare Essentials Mineral Makeup may be better for us. I don’t know this for sure but from what I’ve heard about minerals makeup it definitely sounds like it makes sense.
